Arema Arega is a versatile Cuban-Ethiopian artist who works as a singer-songwriter, music producer, painter, fashion designer, and filmmaker. Born in Russia to an Ethiopian father and a Cuban mother, she beautifully channels her rich multicultural heritage into an eclectic, genre-blending style. Her cinematic music fuses traditional Cuban rhythms with blues, jazz, bossa nova, and electronic afro-house. Internationally recognized after being featured on Gilles Peterson’s Havana Cultura project, she has since collaborated with top lounge and electronic acts like Bahama Soul Club, Club des Belugas, and PAUZA, while independently directing award-winning audio-visual projects from her current base in Barcelona.
