Rucosmic, also known as Ruco Nishino Valente, is a Japanese singer-songwriter and performance artist from Sapporo, based in New York City since 2011. Her music blends experimental pop, Japanese City Pop, R&B, house, drum & bass, and ambient influences into an atmospheric sound shaped by ethereal vocals, percussion, and electronic textures. Moving between original compositions and reimagined Japanese classics, Rucosmic creates immersive performances that connect music, movement, and visual art. She has performed at venues including The Red Pavilion, The Bitter End, and Nublu, establishing a distinctive presence within New York’s experimental and independent music scene.
